White hat hackers that follows law for getting access of any system are called as ethical hackers, where as black hat hackers are those who apply tricks that are ban and get access to systems.
The main task of ethical hacker is to check the security of the systems and identify the vulnerabilities and threats in systems, networks or system infrastructure. If someone is doing ethical hacking then it means that person is taking access to the systems by getting official permission and by following the laws and legitimate. . Ethical hacking includes attempting and finding to exploit any vulnerability to determine whether unauthorised access or other malicious activities are possible.

What are the skills required to become an Ethical Hacker?
To become an ethical hacker you need to really work hard, its not like that you can do it with in a week or two, you need to have patience. You need to earn so many things which are necessary to become an ethical hacker.
Should be a good Programmer :
A person willing to become an ethical hacker must be a good programmer or coder. He/she should know the coding concepts from the basics. Knowledge of other things and subjects are also important like data structures, operating systems and compiler.
Should have Knowledge of Networking:
A person should know the concept of hardware and networking, how data transfers from one system to another, switches, routers knowledge will be added advantage.
Should be Creative :
A person eager to learn ethical hacking should be creative like its creativity will be used in guessing the passwords at the time of getting access to a system.
Should be calm and have patience:
A person should be calm and having patience will be nice. As you need to try again and again in the field of ethical hacking so most of the people get’s disappointed and loose their patience at that time this quality is very important.
